Privacy Policy
Last updated 22 September 2026
Short version: we collect what we need to sell you a book and send it to you. We don't sell your data to anyone. Card numbers never reach us. If you want your details deleted, email us and we'll do it.
Who we are
UConnect (International) Pty Limited, ABN 38 159 803 611, registered in New South Wales, Australia. Contact david@uconnect.com.au for anything in this policy, including access, correction, deletion and complaints.
What we collect
| Information | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| First and last name | At checkout | To address the receipt and the delivery email |
| Email address | At checkout | To deliver the book and your receipt, and to contact you about your order |
| Phone number | At checkout | To reach you if delivery fails or a payment problem needs sorting |
| Billing address | At checkout | Card verification and fraud checks, required by our payment processor |
| Payment card details | At checkout | Entered directly into Stripe. These never reach our servers and we never see or store them. |
| IP address, browser and request logs | Every visit | Standard web server logs, kept by our host for security and diagnostics |
Something you should know about abandoned checkouts
We'd rather say this plainly than bury it. When you fill in your details and start the checkout, that information is sent to our customer system at that moment — before you enter a card, and whether or not you ever complete the purchase. So if you begin buying and change your mind, we still hold the name, email and phone you typed in.
We use it to follow up about the order you started. If you don't want us to hold it, email david@uconnect.com.au and we'll delete it. Every email we send has a one-click unsubscribe.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not trade or rent mailing lists. We share it only with the services that make the purchase work:
- Stripe — payment processing. Takes your card details directly and handles the charge, receipts and refunds. Stripe is based in the United States. See stripe.com/au/privacy.
- HighLevel (LeadConnector) — our customer records and the system that emails you the book. Based in the United States.
- Vercel — hosts this website and keeps standard server logs. Based in the United States.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
Your information leaves Australia
Because those providers are based in the United States, your personal information is stored and processed overseas, primarily in the USA. By buying from us you consent to that disclosure. We take reasonable steps to use established providers with their own published privacy and security commitments, but we can't control overseas law.
Advertising and analytics
At the date above, this site runs no advertising pixels, no analytics scripts and no third-party tracking cookies. The only cookies set are those Stripe needs to process a payment securely and detect fraud.
We advertise this book on Meta platforms, and we may add a Meta advertising pixel or a website analytics tool to this site in future. If and when we do, we will update this page and say so here before or at the time it goes live.
Emails you'll get
Buying the book puts you on our email list. You'll get the book, your receipt, and follow-up emails about AI and small business, including offers. Every one of them has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately. Unsubscribing never affects your access to something you've already paid for.
How long we keep it
We keep purchase records for seven years, because Australian tax law requires us to keep records of sales. Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Abandoned-checkout details are deleted on request, and otherwise within 24 months.
Security
Traffic to this site is encrypted with HTTPS. Card data is handled entirely by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS certified, so there is no card number of yours for us to lose. Access to our customer system is restricted and password protected. No system is perfectly secure, and we won't claim ours is — but we hold as little as we can, which is the best protection there is.
Your rights
- Access — ask what we hold about you and we'll tell you.
- Correction — tell us something's wrong and we'll fix it.
- Deletion — ask us to delete your details and we will, except where tax law requires us to keep the record of a sale.
- Unsubscribe — one click in any email, or email us.
Email david@uconnect.com.au. We aim to respond within 30 days, and usually much sooner. There's no charge.
If you're in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have rights of portability, restriction and objection, and the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Complaints
If you think we've mishandled your personal information, email david@uconnect.com.au and we'll investigate and respond in writing. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Children
This is a product for business owners. It isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top. Material changes to how we use your information will be flagged here, and by email if you're on our list.
